Bilateral Delayed DIEP Reconstruction
Before & After Photos
Surgeries performed by renowned plastic surgeons of East Coast Advanced Plastic Surgery
Patient Details:
This is a 45 year old female with a previously failed breast reconstruction after bilateral mastectomy and implant based reconstruction. A bilateral DIEP flap is and excellent option in this case, secondary to abdominal tissue availability and the need for both volume and skin coverage. The transformation from pre to post operative status is dramatic. A “patch” of skin is necessary to create a meaningful breast mound. The scars fade nicely over time.
Patient Age: 45
Diagnosis: Ductal Carcinoma
Primary Procedure: Bilateral Total Mastectomy
Breast Reconstruction: DIEP (Free Flap Tissue Transfer)
Nipple Reconstruction: 3-Dimensional Nipple Areolar Complex Tattoo
